Paul Doiron is an acclaimed American author best known for his Mike Bowditch series of crime novels, set in the lush wilderness of Maine. A former editor-in-chief of Down East: The Magazine of Maine, Doiron expertly weaves his love for the outdoors with thrilling narratives, earning him multiple award nominations, including an Edgar Award nomination. His debut novel, "The Poacher's Son," won the Barry Award for Best First Novel. An avid outdoorsman, Doiron uses his personal experiences to bring authenticity to his stories. He holds a degree from Yale University and an MFA in creative writing from Emerson College.
