Zara Chowdhary

Zara Chowdhary is a British-Pakistani writer whose debut novel, "The Lucky Ones," explores themes of family, identity, and belonging across continents. Born in Pakistan and raised in London, she draws on her dual heritage to craft nuanced stories about the immigrant experience and intergenerational trauma. Her work has appeared in various literary magazines and anthologies. Chowdhary studied English Literature at Cambridge University and later completed an MFA in Creative Writing. She currently lives in London, where she works as a secondary school teacher while continuing to write fiction that bridges cultures and examines what it means to call multiple places home.
