Mimi Mondal is an Indian speculative fiction writer and editor based in New York. She is the first person from Asia to win the Illogical Muse Award and has been nominated for the Hugo Award. Her work explores themes of colonialism, mythology, and social justice, often drawing on South Asian history and folklore. She has edited the acclaimed anthology "Luminescent Threads: Connections to Octavia E. Butler" and contributed fiction and nonfiction to numerous magazines and anthologies. Mondal is a graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop and is recognized as a bold, distinctive voice in contemporary speculative fiction.
