Riad Sattouf is a renowned French cartoonist and filmmaker, best known for his acclaimed graphic novel series, "The Arab of the Future." Born in Paris in 1978 to a Syrian father and French mother, Sattouf spent much of his childhood in Libya and Syria, experiences that heavily influence his work. He studied at the prestigious École Pivaut art school in Nantes and made a name for himself through his candid and humorous storytelling. Sattouf also directed the award-winning film "The French Kissers." His insightful narratives often explore themes of identity, culture, and family, captivating diverse audiences around the globe.
