Chris Kyle, born April 8, 1974, was a U.S. Navy SEAL sniper renowned for his marksmanship and valor. A native of Odessa, Texas, he served four tours in the Iraq War and became an American hero for his record of lethal precision. Known as the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history, his autobiography, *American Sniper*, was a bestseller and adapted into a successful film. After his military service, Kyle dedicated his life to helping veterans and founded a company providing security training. Tragically, he was killed in 2013 by a fellow veteran he was trying to help.
