Gilles Deleuze

About

Gilles Deleuze was a pioneering French philosopher born in 1925, whose influential works span metaphysics, literature, film, and art. Known for his collaborations with Félix Guattari, Deleuze's philosophy emphasizes concepts of difference, multiplicity, and becoming. His seminal texts, such as "Anti-Oedipus" and "A Thousand Plateaus," challenge conventional structures of thought, offering radical critiques of psychoanalysis, capitalism, and traditional philosophy. Deleuze's unique approach to philosophy is characterized by its dynamic, abstract style and innovative ideas, which continue to inspire contemporary thinkers across disciplines. He taught at various institutions, including the University of Paris VIII, until his passing in 1995.
