Ram Dass, born Richard Alpert in 1931, was a pioneering spiritual teacher, psychologist, and author known for his influential work, "Be Here Now." After earning a Ph.D. from Stanford University, he taught at Harvard, where he explored human consciousness alongside Timothy Leary. Following a transformative trip to India in the 1960s, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, who inspired his spiritual journey and name change. Ram Dass dedicated his life to bridging Eastern spirituality and Western psychology, sharing teachings of love, service, and consciousness.
