Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Eliot moved to England, becoming a British citizen in 1927. His groundbreaking poem, "The Waste Land," published in 1922, redefined modernist poetry with its innovative structure and profound exploration of cultural disillusionment. Eliot's other celebrated works include "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" and "Four Quartets." He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948. Eliot's work continues to resonate, reflecting his deep impact on both English and American literature.
