Tim LaHaye (1926–2016) was a prominent American evangelical Christian minister, speaker, and author, best known for co-authoring the best-selling "Left Behind" series with Jerry B. Jenkins. The series, encompassing 16 novels, vividly explores themes of the Rapture and the Apocalypse, drawing from Biblical prophecy. Born in Detroit, Michigan, LaHaye earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bob Jones University and later founded numerous Christian organizations and churches. He was a vocal advocate for conservative Christian values and played a significant role in shaping Christian fiction. Besides his literary endeavors, LaHaye authored numerous non-fiction books on marriage, family life, and Christian living.
