Dundy's breakout novel, "The Dud Avocado" (1958), remains a beloved classic, chronicling a young American woman's adventures in Paris. Her work often explored themes of identity, independence, and expatriate life. In addition to her fiction, Dundy penned biographies, including one of the famous actor Peter Finch. Dundy lived across the United States and Europe, infusing her writing with rich, cross-cultural experiences.
