Isak Dinesen

Isak Dinesen, the pen name of Karen Blixen, was a Danish author born on April 17, 1885, in Rungsted, Denmark. Renowned for her richly imaginative fiction, she is best known for "Out of Africa," a memoir of her years managing a coffee farm in Kenya, and the compelling short story collection "Seven Gothic Tales."
