Jon Klassen

Jon Klassen is a renowned Canadian author and illustrator, celebrated for his distinctive style and clever storytelling. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Klassen pursued his education in animation at Sheridan College. He gained widespread acclaim for his debut picture book, "I Want My Hat Back," which was awarded the Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor. His follow-up, "This Is Not My Hat," won the prestigious Caldecott Medal. Collaborating with author Mac Barnett, he illustrated other successful titles, including "Sam and Dave Dig a Hole." Klassen's work is characterized by witty humor, simple yet expressive illustrations, and a knack for engaging young readers.
