José Esteban Muñoz

José Esteban Muñoz was a renowned theorist and academic known for his influential work in the fields of queer theory and performance studies. Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1967, Muñoz immigrated to the United States and earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Duke University. He spent much of his career as a professor at New York University, where he significantly impacted students and colleagues alike.
