Barbara Hambly

Barbara Hambly is a prolific American author known for her diverse work in fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction. Born in 1951 in San Diego, California, she studied medieval history at the University of California, Riverside. Her acclaimed series, The Darwath Trilogy, showcases her talent for weaving complex narratives with rich, immersive worlds. Hambly’s extensive bibliography includes the popular Benjamin January mysteries, set in 19th-century New Orleans, and numerous Star Wars and Star Trek novels.
