Wu Cheng'en

Wu Cheng'en (circa 1500–1582) was a prominent Chinese novelist and poet of the Ming dynasty, renowned for his timeless masterpiece, "Journey to the West" (Xi You Ji). Born in Huaian, Jiangsu Province, he grew up in a scholarly family, which deeply influenced his literary pursuits.
