Anne Frank

Anne Frank

About

Anne Frank was a Jewish German-Dutch diarist whose writings offer a poignant and profound insight into her life during the Holocaust. Born in 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany, she fled with her family to Amsterdam in 1933 to escape the rise of Nazism. In 1942, they went into hiding in a secret annex of her father's office building. During this time, Anne documented her thoughts, experiences, and hopes in a diary, which poignantly details life under Nazi occupation. Tragically, Anne Frank died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Her diary, published posthumously as "The Diary of a Young Girl," remains a powerful testament to resilience and hope.
