Ruby Hamad is an Australian writer, journalist, and cultural critic whose work examines race, gender, and politics. A Lebanese-Australian born in New York, she writes on intersectionality and the dynamics of white feminism. Her acclaimed book "White Tears/Brown Scars" explores how white women's tears are weaponized against women of color throughout history and in contemporary society.
