About

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944) was a French writer and pioneering aviator whose experiences in early aviation profoundly shaped his literary work. He wrote lyrical novels and memoirs that blended adventure with philosophical reflection, including *Southern Mail* (1929), *Night Flight* (1931), and his masterpiece *The Little Prince* (1943). His writing explored themes of human courage, responsibility, isolation, and the search for meaning, often set against the backdrop of flight and the desert. *Night Flight* won the Prix Femina. Saint-Exupéry disappeared during a reconnaissance mission in World War II, cementing his legacy as both a literary figure and aviation hero.
