Jericho Brown is a celebrated American poet, known for his evocative explorations of race, masculinity, and sexuality. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he holds an MFA from the University of New Orleans and a PhD from the University of Houston. Brown's work has earned him numerous accolades, including the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 2020 for his collection "The Tradition." He has also received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Currently, Brown serves as the Director of the Creative Writing Program at Emory University, continuing to inspire with his innovative voice and poignant storytelling.
