Amanda M. Fairbanks is an American journalist and author known for her deeply researched narrative nonfiction. Her acclaimed debut, "The Lost Boys of Montauk," investigates the 1984 disappearance of four fishermen off the coast of Long Island, weaving together maritime history, economic struggle, and community memory.
