Marlon James

Marlon James, a Jamaican novelist, achieved international acclaim with his Man Booker Prize-winning novel "A Brief History of Seven Killings" in 2015. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1970 and pursued his education at the University of the West Indies and Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. James made his literary debut with the novel "John Crow's Devil" in 2005, followed by "The Book of Night Women" in 2009, which also received widespread recognition and awards. Renowned for his vibrant storytelling and exploration of themes like identity, politics, and history, James continues to captivate readers worldwide. He currently teaches at Macalester College in Minnesota.
