Sergio De La Pava is a Colombian-American novelist and public defender whose work defies easy categorization, blending legal drama, philosophy, and dark humor into audaciously ambitious fiction. He first self-published his debut novel, "A Naked Singularity," in 2008 before it was picked up by the University of Chicago Press and won the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize in 2013. His follow-up, "Every Arc Bends Its Radian," continues his exploration of justice, identity, and the human condition. De La Pava practices criminal defense law in New York City, and his courtroom experiences profoundly shape his razor-sharp, compassionate literary voice.
