Robert Middlekauff

Robert Middlekauff was a distinguished historian known for his expertise in early American history. Born in 1929, Middlekauff earned his Ph.D. from Yale University and went on to teach at the University of California, Berkeley, where he became a respected professor and eventually chaired the History Department. He is best remembered for his seminal work, "The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763-1789", part of the Oxford History of the United States series, which showcases his meticulous research and engaging narrative style.
