Christopher Morley (1890-1957) was an American author, poet, and journalist, renowned for his contributions to literature and the literary community. A prolific writer, Morley penned over 50 books, including novels, poetry collections, and essays. His novel "Parnassus on Wheels" and its sequel "The Haunted Bookshop" captured the charm of the book trade in early 20th-century America. A Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, he brought a cosmopolitan sensibility to his work. Morley was also a founding member of the renowned literary group, The Baker Street Irregulars. His work continues to be celebrated for its wit, insight, and evocative portrayal of Americana.
