Miles Franklin

Miles Franklin, born Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin in 1879, was an influential Australian writer and feminist. Best known for her seminal novel "My Brilliant Career" (1901), Franklin's work often explored themes of rural life, women's struggles, and Australia's cultural identity. Raised in New South Wales, she was a passionate advocate for women's rights and played an active role in the suffrage movement.
