Edward S. Herman

Edward S. Herman was an influential American economist and media analyst, renowned for his critical analysis of mass media, particularly in collaboration with Noam Chomsky. He was born on April 7, 1925, and held a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Herman co-authored seminal works such as “Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media.” He taught at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he explored topics like corporate power and economic inequality.
