Donald Stratton was a United States Navy seaman who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Arizona on December 7, 1941. After suffering severe burns covering over 60 percent of his body, he courageously returned to active duty and served throughout World War II. Stratton co-authored the memoir "All the Gallant Men" with Ken Gire, sharing his firsthand account of that fateful day and honoring his fallen shipmates. His story stands as a testament to resilience, patriotism, and the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation. Stratton passed away in 2020 at age 97.
