Megan Stielstra is an American essayist and storyteller whose work explores vulnerability, fear, and the complexities of modern life with razor-sharp wit and emotional honesty. She is the author of three collections, including "Everyone Remain Calm", "Once I Was Cool", and "The Wrong Way to Save Your Life", which was a Chicago Review of Books Award winner. A longtime performer with Essay Fixx and 2nd Story, she has told stories for NPR, the Chicago Tribune, and numerous literary stages. Stielstra teaches creative nonfiction at Northwestern University, where she mentors the next generation of bold, fearless writers.
