Yuan Yang is a British-Chinese journalist and author known for her incisive reporting on China and social inequality. She serves as the Financial Times' first UK climate and environment correspondent, having previously worked as the newspaper's Beijing correspondent. Yang studied philosophy, politics, and economics at Oxford University and holds a master's degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing. Her debut book, "Private Revolutions: Four Women Face China's Social Revolution," explores the lives of four Chinese women navigating profound social and economic transformation. Yang's work illuminates the human stories behind China's rapid modernization and the challenges facing contemporary Chinese society.
