George MacDonald Fraser (1925–2008) was a British author and screenwriter renowned for his historical fiction and adventurous storytelling. He is best known for the "Flashman Papers," a series of novels chronicling the adventures of the infamous Victorian soldier and cad, Harry Flashman.
