Juli Min

Juli Min is a Korean American author born in 1990. Her debut novel, *Shanghailanders* (2023), is a multigenerational family saga told in reverse chronological order, spanning from 2040 to 2014. The novel follows a wealthy Chinese family in Shanghai, exploring themes of identity, displacement, family dynamics, and the rapidly changing landscape of contemporary China. Min's writing is characterized by its innovative structure and intimate portrayal of cross-cultural experiences. *Shanghailanders* received critical acclaim and was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. Min has lived in Shanghai and draws on her experiences as an expatriate in her fiction.
