Jane Adkins (a.k.a Jane Wreck) has a talent for disaster, including an infamous puking incident that ended her jockey career before it even began. So when her engagement implodes, Jane does the only sensible thing: flees to Colorado, with no plan, no prospects, and a playlist heavy on The Chicks.

She’s searching for wide open spaces.

What she finds is Resilience Ranch, a sanctuary for retired horses tucked into the San Juan Mountains, and its infuriating, magnetic owner, Chet Edwards.

Chet has traded Silicon Valley for solitude, and he’d like to keep it that way. He’s made that perfectly clear. Jane is trying very hard to listen.

She’s failing.
