Half Magic

Four children wish on a Half Magic coin that they hope will get their mother, Alison, halfway home — but instead are rescued by Mr Smith. Mark's wish zaps them to a desert island, where the half-talking cat Carrie gabbles to a camel. Romantic Katherine battles Launcelot. The eldest, Jane, rejects her siblings for another family. The stubborn youngest, Martha, causes a riot downtown.
