杀破狼 [Sha Po Lang]

In the age of the Great Liang Dynasty, steam-powered machines ran on a fuel called Violetstream Gold. Chang Geng grew up in a small countryside village and had a distant relationship with his mother; his stepfather was away for much of the year. The only people he was close to were two children, the village teacher, and his yi fu — his adoptive father. But his life was overturned one day by an invasion of the barbaric Man tribes, and it turned out that his entire identity had been an illusion: not only was Chang Geng not the country boy he thought he was, but his mother, his teacher, and even his beloved yi fu were not who they appeared to be.
