Description
Carmel Sheehan was raised by the Irish state and always believed what she was told: that her unmarried mother abandoned her as a newborn. Forty years later, she is living in rural Ireland in an unfulfilling marriage, and she has no reason to suspect that version of her past is untrue until she receives a Facebook message from a British doctor claiming to know her birth mother.
