I, Thea Joyce, am officially cursed.

If the ‘incident’ in high school or the ‘accidental’ fire at the dorm didn’t make me believe it, then this did. Why? Because my sweet, too-talented-for-his-own-good brother is ditching me for ten days.

He’s leaving me stranded with his insufferable, way-too-hot-for-that-baseball-cap best friend—Jackson James, a man who has made it his personal mission to ruin my life, one insult at a time.

We don’t get along. At all. I think he’s a lazy playboy. He thinks I’m a walking disaster. And now, thanks to that stupid fire, I’m stuck living with him on my own for ten days.

Ten. Whole. Days.

But somewhere between the silent treatment, the bickering, and that one unfortunate incident involving me nearly offering myself up for a slice of pizza to the guys upstairs (don’t ask), something shifts. He starts looking at me differently. Acting differently. And then he drops a bombshell.

He’s in love with me.

Yeah. Right.

I chalk it up to temporary insanity. But then, a reckless game of Never Have I Ever turns into something I never saw coming.

There’s no going back, and the real question is—what the hell am I supposed to do now?
