Beau Boyette joined the military to earn money for college. He stayed because he loved the challenge and found a family in his Airborne Ranger team. The sole survivor of a catastrophic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of his entire team, Beau left the military, worked as a mercenary, and returned to the Louisiana bayou with his merc team, working for Bayou Brotherhood Protectors.

Aurelie Anderson, daughter of a state senator, runs her father’s philanthropic operations focused on saving the bayou. With her father up for reelection against a candidate backed by the Cajun mafia, she treads a dangerous path, sneaking onto industrial properties to document blatant violations of EPA guidelines that threaten the delicate bayou ecosystem. Attempts to kidnap or kill Aurelie force her father to hire Brotherhood Protectors to keep her safe.

Assigned as Aurelie’s protector, Beau has his hands full defending her from attackers while fighting his growing attraction to the activist determined to make a difference in the bayou.
