It is bedtime for the mouse children. Papa Mouse agrees to tell them seven bedtime stories—one story for each mouse boy. There is a tale about a wishing well, another about a grumpy old child-hating mouse, and still another about a mouse who couldn't get clean. By the end of the seventh tale, guess how many mouse children are sound asleep!
