Double Deuce

The story is Hawk has decided to help out his new lady friend, an investigative journalist, by cleaning out the gang in the local housing project known as 'Double Deuce' after the gang is responsible for gunning down a fourteen-year-old mother and her three-month-old daughter in the ghetto. Of course he asks his old friend, hard-nosed P.I. Spenser, to help him. And of course Spenser accepts.

Hawk wants Spenser to wage war on a violent street gang. Susan wants Spenser to move in with her. Either way, Spenser's out of his element. So why not risk both?
